The purpose of this scientific paper is to determine the socio-economic problems and differences in the regional development of the country based on the analysis of an empirical set consisted of selected socio-economic indicators that provide an insight into the individual regions of the country. Regional disparities were studied for selected socioeconomic indicators such as the unemployment rate, gross domestic product per capita, investments in fixed assets and by sector of activity and the number of active business entities. The results of this paper show that interregional differences at the level of NUTS 3 regions are very big in the selected years. The strong polarization between Skopje and the rest of the country is the most remarkable feature of regional development. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12188/15645 | DOI: | 10.14712/23361980.2018.18 |
