The Hebrew canon of the Old Testament (TM) used to consider the works of the “Twelve Prophets”, also known as the “Minor Prophets”, as one book. This can be concluded on the basis of some texts of the Bible, but also apocryphal writings, such as “The Martyrdom and Ascension of Isaiah” and “The Lives of the Prophets”. This is an attempt to find the sense of placing the twelve books in a one collection, as well as to find out the theological significance which can be attributed to the collection as a whole.en_US
