Abstract: | The process of ionization of hydrogen atom by antiproton impact is studied when the interparticle interactions in the system are described by screened interactions of Yukawa type. The collision dynamics is described by the semiclassical atomic-orbital close-coupling method in which the bound atomic states and positive energy continuum pseudostates are determined by diagonalization of target Hamiltonian in a sufficiently large even-tempered basis to ensure convergence of the results at each value of the screening length λ of the interaction. With decreasing the screening length, the bound states in the Yukawa potential become unbound, thus increasing the number of continuum pseudostates. At low collision energies, this leads to the increase of the ionization cross section. It is observed that the energies of pseudostates, generated by the exit of nl bound states in the continuum, at certain critical values λcnl exhibit series of avoided crossings when λ is varied. The avoided crossings appear between the (n + k)l and (n + k + 1)l (n =1, 2, 3, . . . ; k = 0, 1, 2, . . .) states at screening lengths close to the critical screening length λcnl . The avoided crossings become increasingly less pronounced with increasing n, k and l. The matrix elements for the (n + k)l − (n + k + 1)l transitions at the avoided crossings λ(n+k+1)l exhibit maxima and are reflected x,(n+k)l in the structure of the cross sections for population of the lower nl pseudostates. These structures are, however, smeared out in the total ionization cross section. | Description: | he data files attached to this paper follows the information presented on selected panels from published figures. Some of them may contains additional data, regarding state energies and charge transfer sections to higher states, which were not presented in the published version of the paper due to page limitations. All energies are in units of keV/u and sections in units of 10^{-16} cm^2 unless explicitly noted otherwise. Each data file is an ASCI text file with several lines of comments at their beginning with short explanation for columns, units, missing or otherwise unacceptable data, etc. Due to various restrictions not all energy points are available - hence the slots with missing data. The name of the file starts with a number, and short explanation of its content for an easy orientation. In the following we list them for convenience of the user Files from No.4 to No.7 contains data for ionization sections at fixed sreening lengths (in a.u.) and files No.8 and No.9 contains data for ionization sections at two fixed energies (in keV). All calculations were performed on HPC at FINKI, Skopje. The authors gratefully acknowledge the support of people in charge of smooth running of the cluster and prof. B. Jakimovski, PhD in particular for helpful advise on many occasions.
