The main topic of the epistles of Leo of Ohrid addressed to the bishop John of Trani is the question of the nature of the Eucharistic bread. However, apart from this practice, Leo criticizes other errors of the Latins such as: fasting on Sabbath, eating strangled animals, and not chanting Alleluia during Lent. This research aims to expose these secondary remarks of Leo and to examine the genesis and development of these practices among the Latins, as well as their a reflection in the rest of the anti-Latin literature in Byzantium.en_US
