While it is obvious that the production was not satisfactory – at least not in quantity – it is maintained that the interest for Classical Antiquity was not suppressed, as some might argue; this can best be seen by the publication of Živa Antika, whose role and importance in the promotion of classical studies must not be taken lightly.
